Alan Higbie

As a partner at the law firm of Melat, Pressman & Higbie, LLP, Colorado attorney Alanson Higbie concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, insurance bad faith, and products liability matters.
Mr. Higbie has practiced civil and criminal law in Colorado and Alaska for 35 years, concentrating exclusively on Colorado civil law since 1984. He is a member of the 4th Judicial District Judicial Performance Commission and is the author of "Bad Faith in Auto Cases," from Chapter 10 of the Colorado Auto Litigator's Handbook, 3rd edition.
Mr. Higbie is a native of Massachusetts and was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, completing his undergraduate work at the University of California, Berkeley and earning his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. While in law school, he served as a member of the Law Review. Prior to completing his college education, Mr. Higbie served with the U.S. Army Security Agency from 1967 to 1971.
