Justin R. Melat
Justin R. Melat is a founding partner of Melat, Pressman & Higbie, LLP. Mr. Melat serves clients in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, surrounding counties and throughout the San Luis and Arkansas Valleys who have suffered serious personal injury or wrongful death in automobile accidents, as victims of medical malpractice, or in other situations caused by the negligence or wrongful conduct of another. Mr. Melat is actively involved in the legal community as well as the political/cultural community.
A native of Gary, Indiana, Mr. Melat was raised in Virginia and educated in Tennessee before moving to Colorado.
Mr. Melat began practicing general law in 1969 and gravitated to a trial litigation practice. For about 10 years he was involved in criminal defense, insurance defense and representing injured plaintiffs. As the practice expanded, only plaintiffs (injured persons) have been accepted as clients for 30 years. Areas of specialty and experience include: product liability, truck, motorcycle and automobile negligence, slip and falls, premises liability and professional negligence. Always representing the injured person.
